Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa – who was arrested on June 11 for his involvement in the Renuka Swamy murder case, has reportedly made some shocking confessions. As per recent media reports, Darshan has admitted to borrowing Rs 40 lakh to ‘destroy evidence’ in the Renuka Swamy murder case. Remand application in Renuka Swamy murder case

As per the remand application submitted by the police to the court, Darshan Thoogudeepa confessed to taking a Rs 40 lakh loan from his friend to pay off the accused in the Renuka Swamy murder case. The remand – a copy of which is with Times Now, also sheds light on the details of planning by Darshan to dispose of the body of his fan. The document also noted that Swamy was given electric shocks and hit with lathis and wooden logs during the alleged assault at a shed in Bengaluru. The deceased’s body was found near a stormwater drain in the city on June 9.

According to the remand, the plans to dispose of Renuka Swamy’s body were made while in a 5-star hotel room booked in Darshan’s name. The report also notes the police saying that after the torturous death of the victim, the accused went shopping at a popular fashion store to buy new clothes. The accused reportedly also took the deceased’s gold chain and ring before disposing of the body.

Darshan admits to borrowing money to destroy evidence?

As per the remand application, Darshan confessed to borrowing Rs 40 lakh from a friend to destroy evidence and pay off people who witnessed the crime. A part of the amount was paid to the security guards of the shed in return for their silence. The police recovered Rs 37.4 lakh from a green Puma bag in the actor’s house and Rs 4.5 lakh from the head of Darshan’s fan association’s house. Raghavendra – who is part of Darshan’s fan club in Chitradurga, brought Renuka Swamy to the shed in RR Nagar on the pretext of Darshan wanting to meet him,
